The Virginian Pilot March 19, 1993

Bernadette Evans, 39, of the 7500 block of Merritt St., died March 15, 1993, 
in a local hospital.
Mrs. Evans was born in Norfolk. She was a former member of St. Mary's 
Catholic Church and attended Anne's Beauty College.
Survivors include four daughters, Darchell Evans, Devonie Evans and Felicia 
Evans, all of Norfolk and Shanist Evans of Virginia Beach; a stepdaughter, 
Roslyan Whitehurst of Norfolk; two sons, George Evans and Glesean Evans, 
both of Norfolk; her parents, Lucy Evans and Cornelius Evans of Norfolk; 
five sisters, Maricia Lewis, Dorutha Evans, Janice Dean, Sonja Evans and 
Gloria Evans, all of Norfolk; four brothers, Timothy Evans, Cornelius Evans 
Jr. and Walter Evans, all of Norfolk and Gregory Evans of Virginia Beach; 
grandparents, Martha Branch and Walter Branch of Norfolk; five 
grandchildren, Shamblis, Takelia, A'cory, R'Tezhia Evans and Sikihia Evans , 
all of Norfolk; and a friend, Sharon Norman of Norfolk.
The funeral will be held at 1 pm. Monday in Metropolitan Funeral Service. 
Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Friends will assemble at 2431 E. 
Princess Anne Road, Apartment L, Monday at noon for funeral processional to 
the chapel.
