The Norfolk Virginian Pilot March 9, 1945 
Walter Washington Evans, 68, died at his home in Princess Anne County yesterday 
at 5 p.m. after an illness of 12 years. 
He was a native of Bloxburg, Pa., but had made his home here for 31 years.
He was a son of the late John and Mary Elizabeth Bonney Evans. Surviving him 
are two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Roane, of Portsmouth, and Mrs. O.S. Woodard, of 
Cradock.
The body was taken to the Graham Funeral Home, at Jackson and
Jefferson Streets, South Norfolk, where funeral services will be conducted 
Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Burial will take place in Magnolia Cemetery.
