Norfolk Virginian Pilot July 27, 1954

John Evans, 67, son of the late Jose and Mrs. Dominica Eurria Echaveguren, died 
at a Norfolk hospital yesterday at 10 a.m.
He was a native of Spain and a resident of Norfolk for 25 years, residing at 128 
Talbot Street, at the time of his death. He is survived by one sister in Spain 
and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the H.D. Oliver Funeral apartments tomorrow at 10:30 
a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

John Evans — Funeral services for Mr. Evans, who died Monday, were conducted at 
the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments yesterday at 10:30 a.m. by the Rev. Richard 
Rivard, of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The 
pallbearers were Antonio Fernandez, Jose Gallardo, Jose Diaz, Juan Montero, 
James Figueroa and Juan Emaldia.
