Norfolk - Mike Kacies Everett of 1462 Proescher street died in a hospital.

A native of Hertford, NC, he was the husband of the late Mrs. Cassie Everett and 
a son of the late Daniel and Mrs. Nancy Everett.

He was retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard and was a deacon of New Calvary 
Baptist Church.

Surviving are two  sons, Joe R. Everett of Norfolk and Samuel Everett of Newark, 
NJ;  three daughters. Mrs. Elnora E. Richards of Suffolk and Mrs. Gertrude 
Taylor and Mrs. Rocelle E. Richards of Hampton;  five brothers, Arnold Everett, 
Charlie Everett, and Donie Everett of Hertford.  Floyd Everett of Newark, and 
Joe B. Everett of Norfolk;  and four sisters, Mrs. Rosa Warren of Hertford, Mrs. 
Ali Joyner of Selden, NC, and Mrs. Louvenia Mitchell and Mrs. Lucille Williams 
of Newark.

Services were held in New Calvary Baptist church by the Rev. Milton A. Reid.  
Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Graves Funeral Home in charge of 
arrangements.
