NORFOLK - Margaret V. Everton, 84, formerly of Gamage Drive, went to be with 
the Lord on Oct. 22, 2006. She was born on Oct. 11, 1922, in Knotts Island, 
N.C., to the late Carlton and Bertha Ansell. Margaret was a member of Moose 
Lodge No. 39 Chapter 157 and Laurel Avenue Church of Christ. Margaret was 
preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Ralph W. Everton; sister, 
Louise Smith; and brother, William R. Ansell Sr. 
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Dolores A. Hall of Virginia Beach; 
her two granddaughters, Nicole and Melissa; and her great-granddaughter Jaidyn 
Nicole Hall; sister, Edna M. Carter of Norfolk; and other loving relatives. 
A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Riverside Cemetery. The 
family will receive friends in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, 
Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. You may offer condolences to the family at
