Evich, 83, a former resident of Norfolk, died Dec. 19, 1987, in New York. Mrs. Evich, a native of Bronx, N.Y., was the widow of John J. Evich. She was a member of Saint Ann’s Catholic Church, Staten Island, and a former member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Norfolk. Survivors include three daughters, Kay Earnest of Norfolk, Madeline Meldrum of Staten Island and Anne L. Beale of Lauderdale Lakes, Fla.; two sons, the Rev. Paul J. Evich of Hingham, Mass., and Dr. Phillip Evich of Frederick, Md.; a sister, Angela Johnson of Memphis, Tenn.; a brother, Gilbert J. Bruns of Honesdale, Pa.; 24 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a m. Wednesday in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Norfolk, by the Revs. Paul J. Evich and Nicholas Morecome and Brother Thomas O’Connor. Burial will be in Saint Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Norfolk, is handling arrangements. A Rosary will be offered at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home, where the family will remain until 9 p.m. The family will also be at 1397 Fishermans Road, Norfolk. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
