He was the husband of Mrs. Helen Bruns Evich and a son of Philip P. and Mrs. Mary Drummond Evich. A native of Richmond, he lived here about 40 years. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and Elks Lodge 38. He was a retired foreign freight agent of Norfolk & Western Railway. Surviving, besides his wife, are two sons, the Rev. Paul J. Evich, of Hingham, Mass., and Dr. Philip J. Evich, of Frederick, Md.; three daughters, Mrs. Frank M. Earnest Jr., of Norfolk, Mrs. Glenn D. Beale Jr., of Pompano Beach, Fla., and Mrs. Richard M. Meldrom of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a brother, Frank Evich of Houston, Tex.: and 20 grandchildren. The Office of the Dead will be recited in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Sunday at 7:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held in Holy Trinity Catholic Church Monday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
