Evich, aged 77, a well known resident of Norfolk for the past 23 years, died at the residence, 341 Ward Avenue, yesterday morning at 3:30 o'clock. He is survived by six daughters, Mrs. John Finnegan, Mrs. Gertrude Dowdy and Misses Margaret and Adelyne Evich, of Norfolk; Mrs. B.W. Lane, of Columbia, S.C. and Mrs. A.R. Patrick, of Mackeys, N.C.; three sons, Philip P. Jr., of New York; Francis X., of Camden, N.J. and John J., of Norfolk. Funeral services will be conducted from the Sacred Heart Catholic Church tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. Burial will be n St. Mary's Cemetery. **************************************************************************** Philip P. Evich — Funeral services for Mr. Evich were conducted at Sacred Heart Catholic Church yesterday morning at 10 o’clock by the Rev. R. E. Hannan, who celebrated the mass, and the Rev. T. E. Waters, who delivered the sermon and paid tribute to the deceased. The Rev. E. C. Kiefer was present at the service. The choir of Sacred Heart Church sang several selections, accompanied by Mrs. C. R. Davies, organist. The pallbearers were Charles E. Flaherty, Raymond Flaherty, John Askew, Frank Finegan, Charles E. Francis, James Mulquen. Robert Flaherty and C. C. Cooper. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
