The Virginian-Pilot (Norfolk-Portsmouth, Virginia), Friday, July 29, 1955 
Miss Anne Floyd Ewell, 79, daughter of William Lemuel and Mrs. Cordelia East 
Ewell, a lifelong resident of Norfolk, died yesterday at 1:30 a. m. at the home 
of her niece, Mrs. Samuel F. Redd, of 357 West Ocean View Avenue.
Surviving are three brothers, Linwood Ewell, of Colorado; Charles Ewell, of 
Hickory, and Gary Ewell, of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. Vincent J. Lawler, of 
Baltimore, and a niece, Mrs Redd, of Norfolk, with whom she had made her home 
for many years.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 11 a. m. at the H. D. Oliver 
Funeral Apartments by the Rev. Jason L. MacMillan, D. D., Pastor-Emeritus of 
the First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
