Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - January 1, 1994
Elsie Crider Ewell, 85, died Dec. 31, 1993, in a Norfolk nursing home.
Mrs. Ewell was born in Jacksonville, Fla. She retired as a supervisor with C and P 
Telephone after 35 years and was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and 
Order of the Eastern Star. She was the widow of Herbert Wright Ewell.
Survivors include a sister, Frances C. Wood of Chesapeake; and two nephews, Curtis 
H. Wood of Chesapeake and Jack Crider of Norfolk.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Cox Funeral Home by Dr. W. Emmett 
M. Diggs. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park.
