NORFOLK-Mrs. Maude Dennis Ewell, 84, of 1458 Irwin St., the widow of Marion Lee
Ewell, died Wednesday at 1:30 a.m. in a hospital.

A native of Monroe County, WV, she lived here most of her life.  She was a
member of Burrows Memorial Baptist Church and Elizabeth Eastern Star Chapter 45.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Hilda E. Wyatt of Norfolk;  And two sons,
Stanley Everett Ewell of Norfolk and Claude Richard Ewell of Virginia Beach.

A funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Twiford Funeral Chapel,
Colley Avenue, by the Rev. Herman H. Mauch.  Burial will be in Forest Lawn
Cemetery.  An Eastern Star service also will be held in the funeral home.  The
family will be at the daughter’s home, 5972 Monaco Court, and at the funeral
home tonight from 7 to 9.
