Neil and Mrs. Susan Moore McCarty, died yesterday at 2:25 a.m. at a local hospital. She was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, residing at 2823 Victoria Avenue at the time of her death. Besides her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Mrs. O.B. Gaskins, Mrs. Robert Haley and Mrs. H.C. Roberson, all of Norfolk and Mrs. Lester Christoffersen, of Washington, D.C.; four sons, J.C. Kidd of Miami, Fla., R.A., B.M. and C.R. Kidd of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Barrett and Mrs. Ruby Neil Bright, of Norfolk and one brother, Thomas Vincent McCarty, of Roanoke. The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to St. Mary's Catholic Church for services Monday at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the Funeral Apartments Sunday at 7:30 p.m. **************************************************************************** Mrs. Cornelia McCarty Ewell -- The body of Mrs. Ewell, wife of Garrison P. Ewell, who died Friday at a local hospital, will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to St. Mary's Catholic Church for services this morning at 10 o’clock.
