The Norfolk Virginian Pilot Monday November 18, 1940.
William Emory Ewell, Jr. aged 6 years and 11 months, of 1127 Ferebee avenue, 
Portlock, died yesterday morning at 2 o'clock at a local hospital after an 
illness of one week. A native and lifelong resident of Norfolk County, he was 
the son of William Emory and Mrs. Lillian Virginia Upton Ewell. In addition to 
his parents, he is survived by three sisters, Elsie Mae, Shirley Ann and Betty 
Jean Ewell.

The body was removed to the Graham Funeral Home, Jackson and Jefferson streets, 
South Norfolk, where funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 3 
o'clock. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park.
