Norfolk Virginian November 29, 1869
DIED
On Sunday morning, of pleurisy pneumonia, JOHN C. EXNER, a native of Stockholm, 
aged 58 years and 23 days.
The friends and acquaintances of the family are respectfully invited to attend the 
funeral from St. Paul's church at 3 o'clock THIS AFTERNOON, without further 
invitation.

Additional Comments:
His tombstone is hard to read, but his date of death has been read as April 28, 
1869. His obituary would make his death date as listed.
