George Washington Face, second oldest member of the Virginia Pilot Association, who died here yesterday at the residence of his son, W. Huston Face, will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock in the residence, 70 Columbia avenue. The Rev. Theodore St. Claire Will, rector of St. John's Church, of which Captain Face was long a communicant, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk, where the funeral cortege will arrive at 11:45 o'clock. Active pallbearers will be E. D. Newell, Capt. G. Alvin Massenburg, Capt. John D. Watson, T. A. Murray, H. C. Horseman, Capt. Frank W. Darling and J. G. Harvey. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Virginia Pilot Association and friends of the family. Captain Face's death came after an illness of nearly three years, much of which time he had been confined to his bed. A native of Norfolk, he had resided in Hampton since 1882.
