Janine Robinson Face, 68, of the 1000 block of Magnolia Ave., a corporate 
secretary, died Dec. 17, 1992, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mrs. Face was born in Birkenhead, England, and was a resident of Tidewater since 
1947. She had been employed by the Face Companies of Norfolk for 20 years. She 
was the daughter of the late Dr. Bradbury N. Robinson Jr. and the late Yvonne D. 
Robinson.
Mrs. Face was a graduate of the University of Michigan and had been an officer 
of the family construction business for 20 years, during which time it 
established an international clientele, selling products and providing 
consultation services in more than 30 countries. She was a former drama coach at 
Carrollton Oaks School (now Norfolk Collegiate), a substitute teacher in the 
Norfolk Public Schools and had been active in the Chrysler Museum, the Norfolk 
Federation of Garden Clubs and the Women's Club of Norfolk.
Survivors include her husband, Samuel A. Face Jr. of Norfolk and his mother 
Dorothy M. Face of Virginia Beach; two sons, S. Allen Face III of Newport News 
and Bradbury Face of Smithfield, Va.; and three grandchildren.
A private service will be conducted at Elmwood Cemetery. Omit flowers. Memorial 
donations may be made to The Hope Haven Children's Home, The Norfolk SPCA, or 
the Chrysler Museum. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, is handling 
arrangements.
