VIRGINIA BEACH - Samuel Allen Face Sr., 81, of 2931 Ocean Shore Ave., died in a 
Norfolk hospital Monday.
He was a lifelong resident of the Norfolk area.
He was the husband of Mrs. Dorothy Muhlig Face and a son of George Staylor and 
Mrs. Edmonia Powell Face.
He was vice president of Tidewater Seamless Floors Co.
He was a member of Elizabeth Masonic Lodge 34.
Besides his widow, he is survived by two sons, Samuel A. Face Jr. of Norfolk and 
Robert L. Face of Virginia Beach; a sister, Mrs. L. C. Page Sr. of Norfolk; four 
grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk, Thursday at 11 a.m. 
by the Rev. William D. Parrish of Larchmont United Methodist Church. H. D. 
Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, has charge.
The family requests that flowers be omitted and contributions made to Ocean Park 
Volunteer Fire Department or Larchmont United Methodist Church.
The family will be at 1008 Magnolia Ave., Norfolk.
