Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark February 18, 1914

Mrs. Mary W. Face, wife of Capt. George W. Face, of the Virginian Pilots 
Association, died in their apartments in the Augusta hotel, Hampton, yesterday 
morning at 3:15 o'clock.  Her death was the result of a stroke of paralysis, 
sustained about midnight.  Mrs. Face, prior to her marriage in 1875, was Miss 
Mary W. Huston of Louisville, Ky. and is survived by her husband, two sisters, 
Mrs. Elizabeth Nurry of Evansville, Ind. and Mrs. J.M. Steffey of New York and a 
brother, Maxwell Huston of Evansville, Ind.  The funeral will be held at St. 
John's Church, Hampton, of which she was a member, Thursday morning at 11 
o'clock.  The body will be brought to Norfolk on the C and O boat arriving at 
2:30 o'clock.  Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
