Norfolk - Elizabeth Jean "Billie" Failla, 94, passed peacefully on the evening of 
July 23, 2015, at Harbors Edge Retirement Community. Billie was born in Scottdale, 
PA, the daughter of Charles and Charlotte Haines. She was the beloved wife of the 
late Philip V. Failla. Their marriage endured for 72 wonderful years.

She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. An 
avid bridge player and gardener, she was always involved in charitable 
organizations such as the King's Daughters and Saint Mary's Infant Home.

She is survived by sons, Michael, of Chesapeake, Stephen, and his wife, Tami, of 
Steamboat Springs, Colorado; grandchildren, Shelly Dimmick, and her husband, 
Robert, Justin Failla, Stephanie Failla, and her husband, Ward Tefft, Skylar 
Failla, and her husband, Murty Gollokota; and great-grandson, Sheldon Dimmick.

She is predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Linda T. Failla, 7 sisters and 1 
brother.

A Memorial service will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be offered
