Norfolk - Philip V. Failla, 94, passed away peacefully in the evening of June 7th, 
with his beloved wife of 71 years (Billie) Elizabeth at his side. Philip was born 
in Footedale, PA. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U. S. Navy. Philip 
founded and ran an insurance agency, as well as building and developing many 
residential and commercial properties in Norfolk and Virginia Beach for over 50 
years.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, sons, Michael, of Virginia Beach, Stephen, 
and wife, Tami, of Steamboat Springs, CO; grandchildren, Shelly Dimmick, and 
husband, Robert, Justin Failla, Stephanie Tefft, and her husband, Ward, and Skylar 
Failla; great-grandson, Sheldon Dimmick; and his sister, Fran. He is predeceased 
by his daughter-in-law, Linda T. Failla, four sisters and four brothers.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 12, at 11:30 a.m. at H.D. Oliver 
Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, 1501 Colonial Ave, Norfolk, Va. The family will be 
receiving friends at 11:00 A.M. before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial 
contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences
