Fair died here Wednesday of paralysis, aged seventy-six. She was Miss Hardy of Norfolk, Va. She was a sister- in-law of Gen. MacArthur, formerly governor of the Philippines, and an aunt of General Douglas MacArthur. The body was taken today to Norfolk for burial. Mrs. Fair leaves two sons, Hardy Fair of New York and Dr. Charles Fair of Greenville, S.C.; three daughters, Miss Emily H. Fair, Mrs. Frederick Tofield and Mrs. Thomas Wells of Montreal, Canada.
