Faircloth, of this city, and the late Sanky H. Faircloth, died Wednesday night in a hospital in Troy, N.Y., after a short illness. Funeral services and interment will take place in Norfolk at a time to be announced later. A native of Norfolk, where he had lived until about five years ago, Mr. Faircloth was a teacher by profession. He attended Norfolk public schools and the Norfolk Division of the College of William and Mary, and studied also at the University of Virginia and the University of Chicago. He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, and a communicant of Old St. Paul's Church. He had held teaching positions in the Norfolk high schools, the Bulils(?) Preparatory School, at Silver Springs, Md., and at Renssalaer Polytechnic Institute, at Troy, N.Y. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, Dr. Robert S. Faircloth, of Walnut Ridge, Ark. and four aunts, Mrs. Robert W. Mallet and Mrs. Walter E. Allmond, of Norfolk, Mrs. M.S. Joyner, of Franklin and Mrs. Joseph Rothman, of Long Island, N.Y. and an uncle, Boyd S. Dixon, of Mathews.
