Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch August 30, 1946
FAIRER, SR., ALFRED WHITMER - In Birmingham, Ala., Thursday morning, August 29, 
1946, at 6:45 o'clock, ALFRED WHITMER FAIRER, SR., son of the late George W. and 
Helen R. Moore Fairer, in the 77th year of his age. The body will be forwarded to 
the James V. Derry Funeral Chapel, 1920 Colley Avenue. Funeral services will be 
conducted SUNDAY AFTERNOON at 3 o'clock at the Freemason Street Baptist Church. 
Friends of the family are invited to attend. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery.
