Fairer and son of the late George W. and Helen Moore Fairer, a lifelong resident of Norfolk, died at his residence, 434 West Thirtieth Street, yesterday morning at 3:55 o’clock. He was a well-known plumbing contractor and had been in business in Norfolk for the last 43 years. Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Arthur Lee Fairer, Jr., of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. George Bosman, of Augusta, Ga., and two brothers, Alfred W. and George T. Fairer, both of Norfolk. He was a member of the Park Place Baptist Church and of Shockoe Council No. 895, Royal Arcanum. Funeral services will be conducted at the Ewell & Williamson Funeral Home tomorrow afternoon at 2 o’clock by the Rev. Henry W. Tiffany, D.D., pastor of the Park Place Baptist Church. Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
