The funeral service of Mrs. Mary King Fairfax was held Sunday, Sept. 23, at the 
Queen Street Baptist Church of which she had been a member for over 25 years, 
serving Sunday school and church. Mrs. Fairfax died September 21, after an illness 
of several months. She is well known in Norfolk and a native of Weldon, NC. She is 
survived by her husband, one daughter, and son-in-law, stepson, two sisters, other 
relatives and number of friends.
