Norfolk- James Fair Sr., of 932 E. Olney road, was given final rites recently in 
the Hale Funeral Home chapel. The Rev. J. R. Gray officiated. Interment was in 
Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Fair leaves 89 descendants.

The Edgefield, SC, native was a son of the late Ruben and Mrs. Jeanette Fair and 
the husband of Mrs. Betty Fair.

Also surviving are five sons, James Jr., of Norfolk, John H. of Newark,NJ, 
Johnny E. of Pittsburgh, Willie of Hazardville, CT., and Neulyn of Aikens, SC; 
three daughters, Mrs. Rosa Lee McKevie of Aikens, Mrs. Mozelle Holmes of 
Baltimore and Mrs. Georgie Perkins of Norfolk; one sister, Mrs. Celia Luchie of 
Greenwood, NC; 24 grandchildren; and 55 great-grandchildren.
