Norfolk Journal and Guide, Aug 25,1962
Mrs. Nannie Faison of 2424 West avenue, who died at a local hospital on Aug. 21,
will be given final rites at noon Friday at First Calvary Baptist Church.

The Rev. C. E. Griffin, First Calvary pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in
Calvary Cemetery under direction of Riddick Funeral Home.

A native of Goldsboro, NC, Mrs. Faison was a member of First Calvary Church, its
missionary circle and first ladies’ usher board.

Survivors include her husband, Junius Faison;  a son, James H. Faison of Newport
News;  Three daughters, Mrs. Viola F. Davis of Norfolk;  Mrs. Mamie F. Lewis of
Portsmouth and Mrs. Lillian F. Hairston of Winston-Salem;  one granddaughter and
a brother, Obery Lewis, of Philadelphia.
