NORFOLK - John Joseph Falkiewicz, 95, a U.S. Navy retired chief and World War II 
veteran, passed away peacefully. He was predeceased by his wife, Anne.

He is survived by his sons, John Allen, and his wife, Betty, and Felix Falkner, 
and his wife, Kathleen; his daughters, Mary Schwallenberg, and Carol Clark, and 
husband, Phil; his grandchildren, Laura, Angela, Jeremy, Paul, Stephanie, Michael, 
Lauren and Josh; and his great-grandchildren, Christina and Aidan.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary's Catholic 
Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart 
Association, 360 Southport Circle, Suite 104, Virginia Beach, VA 23452. Smith & 
Williams Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
