DIED

FANNING, JAMES - At Washington, D. C., Monday, July 23rd, 1934, at 12 o'clock 
noon, James Fanning, husband of Emilie Linnstedt Fanning, in the 68th year of his 
age.

Services at H. D. Oliver's Funeral Apartments, No. 610-612 East Freemason Street 
(Norfolk, Va.), this Thursday at 12 o'clock noon.  Friends of the family are 
invited to attend.  Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery.

FUNERALS

JAMES FANNING - Funeral services for James Fanning, whose death occurred Monday at 
Washington, D. C., were held yesterday at noon at H. D. Oliver's Funeral 
Apartments, 610-12 East Freemason Street, with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. T. E. Waters and 
the Rev. Patrick J. Tierney, of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, officiating.  There 
were a number of floral offerings.  The casket was covered with clusters of pink 
and yellow gladiolus and fern.  Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery.  The 
pallbearers were R. L. Dobie, C. O. Bell, B. F. Mitchell, H. D. Oliver, George D. 
Loder and John E. Gilliam.
