Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark November 19, 1930

John C. Farney, aged 72 years, died at 12:35 o'clock yesterday morning at 
Virginia Beach. He was a native of Riverton, Ill. and for the past several 
months had resided at Virginia Beach. Remains were removed to H.D. Oliver's 
Funeral Apartments, 610-12 East Freemason Street, where services will be held 
Thursday at 12 o'clock noon. Rev. P.P. Brennan, pastor of Star of the Sea 
Catholic Church, Virginia Beach, will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mary's 
Cemetery.

John C. Farney — Funeral services for Mr. Farney, whose death occurred Tuesday 
morning at Virginia Beach, will be held at H. D. Oliver’s Funeral Apartments, 
610-12 East Freemason street, today at 12 o’clock noon, with the Rev. P. P. 
Brennan, pastor of Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Virginia Beach, officiating. 
Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
