Farrell, one of the best known citizens of the ward died last evening at 7:45 o'clock at his home 18 Walnut street after an illness of 30 minutes from heart trouble. He was a native of Elizabeth City, N.C., but had been a resident of Berkley more than 23 years. He was in the 48th year of his age. He was a building contractor by trade. He was taken sick at the hardware store of C.B. Gibbs in Chestnut street and hurried to his home and expired a few minutes after arrival. He is survived by a widow, Mrs. Annie Farrell, one son, S.W. Farrell and two daughters, Miss Maggie Mae Farrell and Mrs. William J. Cotton, the latter of Philadelphia. The deceased was a member of Thomas Jefferson Council No. 16 Fraternal Americans and Chesapeake Tribe No. 50 I.O.R.M. The funeral will be conducted from the residence Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. W.A. Smith will officiate and the interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery. ************** FARRELL -- At his residence 18 Walnut street, suddenly, Monday, Nov. 14, at 7:45 o'clock, MACK MIRTLE FARRELL, son of Stephen and Sarah Farrell, of North Carolina and survived by a widow, Mrs. Annie Farrell. Aged 47 years, seven months and two days. The funeral will be conducted from the above residence WEDNESDAY, Nov. 16th, at 3 o'clock. Interment in Magnolia Cemetery. Friends and acquaintances invited to attend. *************************************************************** The funeral of the late Mack M. Farrell who died suddenly at his home, 18 Walnut street, Monday evening, will be conducted from the residence this afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. W.A. Smith, pastor of the Berkley Avenue Baptist Church will officiate and the interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery. There will be in attendance delegations from both the lodges --Thomas Jefferson Council, 16 Fraternal Americans and Chesapeake Tribe, No. 50, I.O.R.M. of which he was a member, who will take part in the ceremonies. In the mention of his death in yesterday's issue the name of his aged mother, Mrs. Abell Roberts, who resides in Liberty street was omitted.
