Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark April 2, 1915

Mrs. Sadie Wood Ferrell, aged 24 years, wife of Stephen Ferrell, died last 
evening at 7 o'clock at the residence of her mother, Mrs. Virginia C. Wood 26 
Walnut street, after a lingering illness.
Mrs. Ferrell was a daughter of the late John H. Wood and in addition to her 
husband and mother she is survived by one child, Stephen Ferrell, Jr., three 
brothers, Jessie, John and Grover Wood and two sisters, Mrs. Benjamine 
Cartwright and Mrs. Hiram E. Conner.
She was a member of Goodwill Council, Daughters of America and held in high 
esteem by that organization.  The funeral services will be conducted at the 
above residence Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock and burial will be in the 
family lot in Magnolia Cemetery.
