A sudden squall arose and capsized the boat and he sunk to rise no more. Efforts were made to recover the body yesterday afternoon and last night, but they were futile. Work in that direction will be resumed this morning. Owing to the late hour at which the Virginian-Pilot was apprised of the accident it was impossible to ascertain any particulars in addition to those noted above. The barge commanded by Captain Farrow was formerly a steamer, we are informed, and was badly damaged in the fire that consumed a Chesapeake and Ohio pier at Newport News. The steamer was converted into a barge, and under the command of Captain Farrow, was used to transport coal.
