Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Sept. 12, at First Baptist Church, Bute street, with the Rev. E. Paul Simms, pastor, officiating. A native of Norfolk, Mrs. Faulcon was the daughter of the late Rev. Marshall and Mrs. Sophia Land. Mrs. Faulcon was a graduate of Norfolk Mission College and taught school during the early part of the century in Nansemond County public schools and at John T. West School. She was also a private instructor. A member of First Baptist Church 71 years, Mrs. Faulcon was a leader of United Order of True Love Tent No. 37 for 32 years and was active in many religious activities. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Marcella Paige, of Norfolk; a brother, Russell N. Land, of New York City; a granddaughter, Miss Vanetta Morgan; an uncle, the Rev. Charles A. Harris, and son-in-law, Nathaniel A. Morgan, all of Norfolk. Interment was at Calvary Cemetery with Pretlow’s Funeral Home in charge.
