Virginian-Pilot  November 16, 1915
The funeral of Rev. B. L. Favard took place at the grave in St. Mary’s cemetery at 
11 o’clock yesterday morning. Rev. Joseph Butsch, Father Favard’s temporary 
successor at St. Joseph’s Catholic church, assisted by Rev. J. J. Doherty, Rev. 
George Dunn, Rev. P. P. Brennan, Rev. Leo J. Ryan and Rev. Valentine Cuevas, 
conducted the services. There was a requiem mass yesterday morning at St. Joseph’s 
church conducted by Rev. Putsch for the repose of Father Favard’s soul.
