Catherine McCauley Fender, 77, of the 8000 block of Driftwood Drive, died Jan. 13, 
1991, in a hospital.
Mrs. Fender, a native of Norfolk, had retired from Price's Inc. on Monticello 
Avenue. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, John H. Fender; two daughters, Sandra Pillar of 
Chesapeake and Phyllis Pyle of Norfolk; a sister, Mary E. Egolf of Pass Christian, 
Miss.; a brother, John E. McCauley of Glendale, Calif.; six grandchildren and 
three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, 
Tidewater Drive Chapel, by the Rev. Anthony V. Rodrigues. Burial will be in St. 
Mary's Cemetery. A Christian wake service will be at 7 p.m. today in the funeral 
home, where friends may join the family afterward.
