Norfolk Virginian May 17, 1885

FENTRESS - This (Sunday) morning at 2 o'clock, Mrs. Sue W. Fentress, wife of 
C.W. Fentress and daughter of Rev. T.J. Bayton, aged 25 years.
The funeral will take place TOMORROW (Monday) AFTERNOON at 5 o'clock, from 
the residence of her husband No. 252 Freemason street.

Norfolk Virginian May 19, 1885

The funeral of Mrs. Sue W. Fentress, wife of Mr. C.W. Fentress, took place 
from the residence of her husband No. 252 Freemason street, yesterday 
afternoon at 5 o'clock, and was largely attended by her relatives and 
friends.  The services were conducted by the Rev. L.B. Betty, assisted by 
Revs. R.M. Saunders, C.C. Wertenbaker and W.E. Judkins, at the conclusion of 
which the remains were escorted to Elmwood Cemetery and laid to rest.
