She was a native of Norfolk, but had made her home in New York from 1930 to 1961, after which she returned to Norfolk. She was a former member of First Baptist Church, Bute sreet. Mrs. Fentress had been a guest in the home for the past five years. Surviving are three cousins, Mrs. Naomi Johnson of Philadelphia, Mrs. Catherine Keys and Mrs. Dorothy Sutton of Norfolk, and one brother-in-law, W. M. Hubbard of Norfolk. A funeral service was held in Hale Funeral Chapel with the Rev. J. L. Kearney officiating. Burial was in the family plot in Calvary Cemetery.
