Mrs. Gertrude Miller Fentress, wife of the late George Fentress of New York, and 
daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Miller, died at the First Baptist 
Church Home for the Aged, Saturday, June 17,1972.  She was a native of Norfolk, 
but had made her home in New York from 1930 to 1961, after which she returned to 
Norfolk.

She was a former member of First Baptist Church, Bute sreet.  Mrs. Fentress had 
been a guest in the home for the past five years.

Surviving are three cousins, Mrs. Naomi Johnson of Philadelphia, Mrs. Catherine 
Keys and Mrs. Dorothy Sutton of Norfolk, and one brother-in-law, W. M. Hubbard 
of Norfolk.  A funeral service was held in Hale Funeral Chapel with the Rev. J. 
L. Kearney officiating.  Burial was in the family plot in Calvary Cemetery.
