Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark Saturday July 4, 1931
W.S. Fentress, 66, former resident of Norfolk and Virginia Beach, died Thursday at 
the home of D.R. Morgan, of Elizabeth City, with whom he had been making his home 
for several years.  He had been ill for about a year and confined to his bed for 
six months prior to his death.
Mr. Fentress is survived by two brothers, O.C. Fentress and I.N. Fentress, both of 
Norfolk and four sisters, Mrs. J.H. Bowman, of New York City; Mrs. Ophelia Brock, 
of Norfolk; Mrs. Agnes Larkins, of New York and Mrs. H.E. Delaney, of Atlanta.
Funeral services were conducted at the Morgan residence yesterday afternoon at 2 
o'clock by the Rev. G.F. Hill, of Christ Episcopal Church, after which burial took 
place at Elmwood Cemetery in Norfolk.
