Fentress, widely known Norfolk woman, died suddenly yesterday afternoon at 5:30 o'clock at the residence of her son, J. Russell Fentress, at 4606 Colonial avenue. She was 62 years old. Mrs. Fentress had been in ill health for some time, but her death was unexpected, and news of it comes as a shock to her hundreds of friends. A native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, Mrs. Fentress was the daughter of the late Joseph F. and Mrs. Tomasia Wood Battley and the wife of the late Harry Nash Fentress. Surviving are two sons, J. Russell and A.K. Fentress; four grandchildren, J. Russell Fentress, Jr., A.K. Fentress, Jr., Kenneth Nash Fentress and Miss Mary Q. Fentress, all of Norfolk and two nephews, Joseph W. Battley, of Washington and Halsom Rose Battley, of New York. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. ***************************************** Mrs. Addie V. Fentress - Funeral services for Mrs. Fentress, widow of Harry Nash Fentress and daughter of the late Joseph F. and Mrs. Tomasia Wood Battley, who died Sunday afternoon, will be held at the residence of her son, J. Russell Fentress, 4606 Colonial avenue, this afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. P. Roland Wagner, pastor of the Central Baptist Church, officiating.
