Wesley and Mrs. Effie Eley Fentress, died Wednesday at 6:30 a.m. at a Norfolk hospital. Mr. Fentress was a native of Norfolk and resided here most of his life, residing at 531 Washington Park at the time of his death. He was a graduate of Norfolk Academy and attended William and Mary College and the University of Virginia. He was a veteran of World War I and was a member of the American Legion. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Robert Whitbred, of Warwick; one sister, Mrs. Robert L. Lemen, of Baltimore; three brothers, C. Wesley Fentress Jr., of Norfolk, Thomas D. Fentress, of St. Petersburg, Fla. and Arthur L. Fentress, of Baton Rouge, La and three nephews. Services will be conducted at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Friday at noon by the Rev. Edgar A. Potts D.D., pastor of Epworth Methodist Church, of which Mr. Fentress was a member. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Friends have been requested by the family to omit flowers.
