Virginian-Pilot October 11, 1910
Mrs. Mary F. Fentress, widow of Hillary Fentress, died at her home, 274 James 
street, at 2:05 o'clock yesterday afternoon, after a lingering illness from 
paralysis, in the 51st year of her age. The deceased was a native of Norfolk, 
where she leaves many friends, who will learn with sorrow of her death. She is 
survived by a daughter, Miss Bessie Fentress, her mother, Mrs. Frances C. Russell, 
two brothers, John F. and Charles A. Russell, and a sister, Mrs. Rabet. The 
funeral will be held from her residence at 4 o'clock this afternoon.
