Virginian Pilot Tuesday July 16, 1957 

Mrs. Mary Roach Fentress, 86, 1019 Larchmont Cres., died at 4 p.m. today(?) in a 
Washington hospital.
She was a native of Norfolk County and had resided in Norfolk for the past 60 
years.
She was the daughter of the late Josephus and Mrs. Ellen Smith Roach and the 
widow of the late John Fentress. 
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth F. Ferratt of Arlington, Miss 
Lillian M. Fentress of Norfolk and six grandchildren.
The body will be forwarded to the Sykes Funeral Home, Berkley.
Funeral arrangements are pending.

NORFOLK - Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Roach Fentress, who died Sunday, will 
be conducted at the Sykes Funeral Home at 11 a.m. today. The Rev. C. Ambrose 
Turner Jr., pastor of Larchmont Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be 
in Elmwood Cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Roach Fentress, who died Sunday, were conducted 
yesterday at 11 a.m. at the Sykes Funeral Home by the Rev. C. Ambrose Turner Jr. 
of Larchmont Methodist Church. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were 
Paul Wright, Harold A. Wright, Roy Nichols, Robert Gardner, Gordon Haynie, 
Bernard Capps and Capt. I.N. Fentress.
