The Norfolk Virginian Pilot Tuesday June 8 1943
Joseph Sier Fentress, aged 59, husband of Mrs. Blanche Elizabeth Fentress and
son of the late John Andrew and Mrs. Mary Murden Fentress, a native of Princess
Anne County and a lifelong resident of this section, died at 6:30 o'clock
yesterday morning at the residence, 610 River avenue.

Besides his wife, Mrs. Blanche Elizabeth Fentress, he is survived by two
daughters, Mrs. C. L. Miller and Mrs. S. J. Samabataro; four sons, G. A., J. E.,
J. J., and H. M. Fentress, all of Norfolk; seven grandchildren and two sisters,
Mrs. J. E. Curling, of Princess Anne County, and Mrs R. L. Hosier, of Baltimore.

Services will be held at the chapel of the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501
Colonial avenue, Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock. Burial will be in Forest Lawn
Cemetery.
