Norfolk Virginian Pilot May 3, 1943
Mrs. Catherine Wise Fentress, aged 27, wife of Paul E. Fentress and daughter of 
Mrs. Rose Blanche Wise and the late Clarence H. Wise, died at a local hospital 
yesterday morning at 6:55 o'clock after a long illness.  Besides her husband 
and mother, she is survived by two sisters, Mrs. R.F. Joyner, of Norfolk, and 
Mrs. Kenneth Shoemaker, of Cleveland, Ohio; a niece, Mrs. Clarence Fields; a 
nephew, Kenneth Shoemaker, and an aunt, Mrs. Zoa Elliott, of Chestertown, Md.  
Mrs. Fentress was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, and was a member 
of Colonial Avenue Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow 
morning at 11 o'clock.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
