Mrs. Feran was a native of Norfolk County and had been a resident of Norfolk for several years. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Besides her husband, she is survived by one grandson, Orland E. Pollick, Jr., of Norfolk; three brothers, Martin D. Phillips, of Colonial Beach; Samuel J. Phillips, of Waverly and Tilden Phillips, of South Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. J.G. Berry, of South Norfolk and Mrs. W.S. O'Neal, of Norfolk County and a number of nieces and nephews. The body was taken to the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial Avenue, pending arrangements. ************************************************************************* Mrs. Jeanette Phillips Feran — Funeral services for Mrs. Feran, wife of Joseph Feran, who died Thursday night at the residence, 4305 Colonial avenue, were held at 10 o’clock yesterday morning at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with the Rev. J. O. Schmidhauser, officiating. The text of his address at the conclusion of the mass was "The Meaning of Suffering in This World.” The Rev. J. F. Govaert was present in the sanctuary. During the service, Mrs. F. R. McLaughlin and Mrs. R. P. Smith sang, "O Esca Viatorum," with Mrs. C. R. Davies as organist. There was a large attendance and many floral offerings. The casket was covered with a pall of Easter lilies, pink roses and fern. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Services at the grave were conducted by the Rev. J. 0. Schmidhauser. The pallbearers were C. E. Snow, W. R. Phillips, J. A. Woodard, V. P. Tyler, S. B. Phillips and G. E. Kirchmier.
