NORFOLK — Joseph Feran, 67, son of Joseph and Mrs. Anna Phillips Feran, died in 
his home at 7605 Victory Drive Monday. He was the husband of the late Mrs. 
Jeanette Phillips Feran.
A native of Yonkers, N.Y., he lived in this area most of his life. He was a 
retired merchant seaman and an Army veteran of World War I.
He is survived by a son, Joseph Paul Feran of Clure, Pa., and a stepson, Richard 
Francis Piecewicz of Peabody, Mass.
The body will be taken from H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to St. Mary’s Cemetery 
for a funeral service today at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Joseph V. Gagan of Blessed 
Sacrament Catholic Church.
