The Virginian Pilot Tuesday October 16, 1956
William Duke Ferebee, 81, son of Joseph Cartwright and Mrs. Laura Northern 
Ferebee, died at a Lynchburg hospital yesterday at 8 a.m. after an illness of 
one month. He was a native of Baltimore and formerly resided in North 
Carolina. For the last 15 years he had been a resident of Rt. 3, Lynchburg.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. S.S. Bancroft of Norfolk; one brother, E.N. 
Ferebee of Elizabeth City, N.C., and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at the grave in Magnolia Cemetery today at 
2 p.m. by the Rev. E.I. Mosher, associate pastor of the First Baptist Church.
