Norfolk Virginian  May 10, 1891

Mrs. Sophia Ferebee, a highly esteemed lady of many virtuous qualities, died at 
the residence of her son, C.H. Ferebee, at 1410 Brambleton Avenue, yesterday at 
5:10 a.m., aged 68. Funeral services will take place today at 3 p.m., from her 
late residence.

The funeral of Mrs. Sophia Ferebee took place at 3 o'clock, Sunday afternoon, 
from the residence of her son, C.H. Ferebee, 1410 Brambleton Avenue. Rev. E.B. 
McCluer, pastor of the Presbyterian Church officiated. The remains were followed 
to Elmwood and laid to rest.
