Virginian-Pilot August 3, 1924
Mrs. Sarah Catherine Ferguson, aged 72, widow of William K. Ferguson, and daughter 
of the late Edward W. and Elizabeth Dunbar Face, died at her residence, 935 West 
Olney road, yesterday morning at 3:40 o'clock. She was a native and life-long 
resident of Norfolk. She is survived by a daughter, Miss Mary H. Ferguson of 
Norfolk, two sons, Thomas E. of Richmond, and W. S. Ferguson of Norfolk; two 
sisters, Mrs. Florence B. Reed, of Baltimore, and Mrs. W. A. Minter, of Norfolk. 
She was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be 
conducted at the Second Presbyterian Church tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock. The 
Rev. D. N. McLauchlin, D.D., pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be 
in Elmwood Cemetery.
